The initial step to avoid getting dirt on your own tiles in the first place is by giving floor and door mats at proper spots. Put the mats or rugs in high traffic areas of your home such as the front or back entrance. Runner rugs in hallways may also be good. Mats and rugs don’t have to be cleaned everyday. A soiled mat isn’t as bad to look at as stained and muddy tiles. Wetness and dirt on the tiles may also cause mold buildup and damage to the tile and grout. The mats may capture the dirt before they get towards the tiles.

Accidents take place in the kitchen all the time. It’s something everyone has to live with. Spilt milk near the fridge, flour all over the counters and floors, a pitcher of grape juice breaks plus a pool of purple liquid spreads quickly in your stunning ceramic tiles. Your grout turns from white to lavender, you let out a shriek of horror imagining you can never get that stain out. Avoid wiping the liquid but instead blot it out with a bit of cloth. This prevents the liquid from spreading and staining a larger area of your floor. Blot the stained portions using the damp cloth before you get most of the stains out. You have to act quickly as some tiles and especially grout are permeable and soak up liquid.

When you have just bought a previously owned home with ignored tile floors or you simply never had enough time or energy cleaning tile floors your self, then you can have a big problem getting your floors returning to spic and span situation. Lackluster floors will not provide a good effect to your guests. Even you will have a hard time taking a look at soiled ugly tiles in your house. But, what else could you do if you don’t have enough time or means to have make them clean? Perhaps this is time for you to call in several professionals who are experts in cleaning tile floors.
