Tile flooring is common in many homes. It is available in many styles and colors to fit any décor. Tile flooring is found in bathrooms, kitchens, utility rooms, or any other room in a home. Homeowners choose tile flooring for its ease of care and maintenance. Spills and dirt can be cleaned easily when compared to carpet. Kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms are prone to wet messes unsanitary messes. Using tile rather than carpet insures that all germs and messes can be completely cleaned and sanitized.
Prevent Dirt and Damage
Tile flooring is easily maintained. Regular spot cleaning will keep the flooring protected and looking great. Simply sweep a tile floor daily to keep loose dirt from scratching the surface, and clean spills as they happen. Removing boots and shoes before walking on tile flooring will also keep damaging, abrasive dirt off of the floor.
Harsh Cleaners are Not Required
Even with regular upkeep on a tile floor, it is necessary to deep clean the floor on a regular basis. The old fashion back breaking job of waxing and stripping is a thing of the past. More cleaning producing companies are formulating cleaners that are safe and environmentally friendly. Simply add a few drops of dish liquid in warm water.
Mop the entire floor with the dish soap mixture. Follow with, warm, clear water and dry completely with a lint free cloth or dry mop. These tips may not eliminate the need for back breaking waxing, but it will not have to be done as often.
