Wood tile flooring is either made of porcelain or they are made from ceramic materials. This kind of tiles looks exactly to the wood. They can either be used as floor tiles or they may be used as wall tiles. The Atlantic series of EGE Seramik consists of rectified tiles. Traditional tiles are usually cut before firing. But these rectified tiles are cut after firing. This results in much more ordered dimensions of the tile. Rectified tiles are also known as Dimensionally Stable tiles. Rectified porcelain tiles have their advantages along with some disadvantages. Like all other porcelain tiles they may be easily cracked. On the other hand these tiles can easily be decorated because of consistency in their dimensions. Another important advantage of rectified porcelain tiles is that leaner grout lines can be easily attained.
Atlantic series is a very high quality series of EGE Seramik that can be used for wood tile flooring. There are three different colors that are available in this Atlantic series which are Blue, White and Beige. All these wood grain ceramic tiles and the wood look porcelain tiles are available in one size and that is 5 x 24. Wood grain ceramic tiles are very popular for use in kitchens and bathrooms. They are also used extensively for outdoor purposes as well. The wood grain ceramic tiles are waterproof and they very lasting.
The tiles made of ceramic material are also less expensive as compared to those that are made of porcelain. The porcelain tiles of the Atlantic series are rectified and they have a high shade variation. There is one another color available in the glazed porcelain tiles and that is oak. These rectified glazed porcelain tiles have a weight of 50 and the PEI wear rating of these tiles is about 4. They can be used for a number of purposes such as countertops, floor, walls and exterior pool desks. There are two laying options that have been proposed by the EGE Seramik for this series. One is Herringbone pattern and the other is interlocked laying with a maximum 15% overlay.
